Axios - Loudias - Aliakmonas Wetlands (Regional) Adventures

The Axios - Loudias - Aliakmonas Wetlands Regional Protected Area, located in the plains of Central Macedonia in northern Greece, includes extensive river deltas and marshlands formed by the Axios (Vardar), Loudias, and Aliakmonas rivers. This lowland wetland zone covers valuable habitats such as reed beds, freshwater lakes, and river channels feeding into the Thermaic Gulf on the Aegean Sea.
